Calm, practical post natal support for new mothers during the fourth trimester and beyond. Because you deserve to be cared for too!

Welcome to my special world of support!
I'm Kris, a little about me..

I've always loved children. I have now spent more than 30 years caring for children in some capacity, from newborns through to the early adult years.

Being a mum to my three beautiful children is easily my proudest achievement. Now that they are older (which brings with it a whole new set of challenges!), I've found myself reflecting on those early years of motherhood. It was a wonderful, exhausting, chaotic and deeply rewarding time of life.

But one thing I've learned is that while babies quite rightly receive plenty of attention, mothers need care too. In fact, the more supported a mother feels, the better she can care for her baby and her family.

These days, the idea of a "village" supporting families through those early weeks and months can be hard to find. Many mothers are navigating this stage without nearby family, practical help or a trusted support network.

I created Beyond Birth Mother Care because I wanted to be part of that village for other mothers.

Most importantly, I'm the person who notices what needs doing without needing to be told. Not another person for you to organise, direct or think for. Just calm, practical support, tailored to what you need in that moment.

Because mums deserve care too.

My Support

I'm the person who comes in and makes sure you've had a cup of tea/glass of water, eaten something nourishing, stepped outside for a little sunshine, or simply had a hot cup of tea. The person who will happily hold a refluxy baby who only settles when they're upright, entertain a toddler while you feed, or sit beside you while you find your feet in this at times, overwhelming time of life.

Support may include:

  • Caring for baby while you rest, shower, go for a walk or just take a breather.

  • Accompanying you to appointments

  • Supporting you to navigate, the sometimes overwhelming task of just getting out of the house.

  • Baby related tasks (cleaning bottles, babies washing/folding, tidying etc)

  • Helping you debrief your birth experience

  • Support with your recovery after birth

  • Emotional support and reassurance, being the parent of a newborn is overwhelming and sometimes just talking about your concerns makes a world of difference.

  • Meal planning and light meal prep

  • Help with settling and feeding
